Introduction

This has to be deliberate, in fact and we are thus, looking for a smart person to join our Employee Experience team to help us through our people, culture and make Brass an even more high performance team where everyone is truly happy.

Role

As the Business Operations Associate, your role will focus on providing assistance to the Business Operations team in the daily management of the business.

Tasks will vary according to the business operations with a typical focus on the financial, inventory and human resources aspects of the business.

You will report directly to the Chief of Staff. You will work to ensure Brass provides the best environment (physical and virtual) for staff to perform optimally every day.

Responsibilities

  • Complete clerical and administrative tasks for the Operations unit

  • Cooperate with different departments to improve business operations

  • Ensure the provision of adequate office supplies & inventory is maintained on appropriate re-order levels.

  • Responsible for being Brass’s point person for office related inquiries such as documents delivery to office etc

  • Manage relationships with vendors and service providers such as EKEDC, LAWMA, Diesel suppliers, Janitors etc. Provide appropriate reports where necessary.

  • Support in preparing for all staff meetings.

  • Provide process support to other sub-teams; Finance and Employee Experience teams.

  • Provide important and reliable updates to the Ops unit especially Bus Ops.

  • Ensure all Business operations related bills are paid promptly.

  • Manage the Brass library system.

  • Attend meetings, take relevant notes and action points. Perform any Ad hoc tasks/duties as required

About You

  • You are passionate about office management, project management, organization and process improvement.

  • You have either a Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) from a reputable institution.

  • You have a minimum 2 years experience in office administration in a business environment. Experience in Fintech is a plus.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong business acumen

  • High attention to detail

  • Proficient in technology especially Microsoft Office applications.

  • Proactive qualities with the willingness to learn

  • Ability to work well under pressure and with minimal supervision

  • You are impact-driven and persistent: Motivated by moving the needle meaningfully, especially during times when it requires persistence and courage.

  • Operational excellence: You have a keen eye for detail and an exceptionally high bar for accuracy and quality.

  • Integrity and trustworthiness

  • Has superb written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to draft engaging and impactful forms of communication

  • Is familiar with project management softwares.
