Head, Business Banking
Introduction

Role
As the Head of Business Banking, you are fully responsible for initiating, developing, and running this business category within Brass. You will additionally be an Account Lead for some of Brass’s largest partners.
In this role, you will be in a key position to fully take advantage of our products and the huge interest in Brass to drive our sales in the business banking category to the next level. You will grow, retain and optimize the widespread use of Brass’s current account.
You will be responsible for building a competent team, as well as leading them to achieve all set targets.
You will report to the CEO.
Responsibilities

Run, own, and lead the business banking team to achieve business targets (both strategic and financial).

Define the sales coverage strategy for the business banking product.

Contribute to the definition of Brass’s growth & sales initiatives and ensure execution.

Be responsible for building the sales team by attracting, hiring, and maintaining top talent within the team.

Lead the development of team strategy.

Identify and develop a target pipeline and aggressively market for new profitable status customers.

Acquire new Corporate and Commercial partners.

Maintain high professional standards and strive to provide quality services and competitive pricing to customers.

Continuously identify and exploit cross-selling opportunities that embed the bank and its products with customer needs.

Provide support to help our customers grow their businesses.

Ensure compliance to Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti Money laundering (AML) requirements in all dealings with existing and potential customers.
Account management:

Ensure the team achieves and exceeds its goals by setting up standard methodology and ensuring they are aligned with corporate objectives.

Be responsible for target and objective setting for the team

Work with the field team to ensure full coverage (geographical) of the key points of sale.

Ensure adequate product knowledge within the team through consistent learning and development.

Handle relationship management and business development among the existing large corporate customers including deepening the relationships.
About You

You are passionate about corporate and commercial banking within the Financial technology industry. What we are doing here at Brass excites you!

You have either a Bachelor’s Degree from a reputable institution.

You have a minimum of 7 years of proven experience in commercial/ corporate banking;

You have the ability to do things in a time-critical fashion and thrive in a target-driven environment

Advanced problem-solving is a requirement for this position.

You should have a combination of Sales & team leadership experience.

You have significant experience interacting and negotiating at C-level.

You have excellent communication skills, which are critical for this role.

You have superb time management, and organisation abilities.

You possess significant experience in managing, leading, and developing successful sales teams

You are adept at calculated and deliberate planning, account development, territory management, forecasting, presentations, business solutions, multi-task management, planning & organization, and new business development
